Well, I am a moron.

I decided to go to one of the “value oriented” computer shoppes in town and acquire the second-hand $300 special. In preparation, I fired up the torrents for the latest version of my favorite operating system. Somehow I forgot that this machine doesn’t have the capasity to write disks.

On the other hand I pulled 1.2 gigs of data onto this box in about five hours. Sweet. Now if I could convince the system to draw web pages in less than fifteen seconds. Years ago, I was amazed with the ability to sit in front of a computer and communicate with people all over the world. Now I’m bitching because it is taking so long.
