[12:54 CST]
Just returning now from a trip which included stops for cat supplies, nosh and whisky. Once entry to the cab was possible the rest was easy, due to the cocoon of ice the engine warmed up in record time – quite possibly under five minutes. The cab warmed up in another three or so, and the ice started to crack. I was able to crack the ice then lift sheets off the windows and mirrors … except the doors which readily cleared once I pushed the ice from inside.

Wow. I just spent a really good hour with the upstairs neighbors clearing the steps which also had about three-eighths of an inch of ice. Hammering was involved.
[15:18 CST]
Something almost happened. A rebus for today.
