New Hampshire

Tuesday, 8 January, 2008

At this hour, 22:00 CST or 4:00 UTC, the national media is calling NH for Senator Clinton.

I’ve been watching the trend for the last few hours and it looks like the only other option from the Democracy party has peaked with a 3% or so deficit. Of course, that’s under five thousand votes.

However, I’ve noticed that the inevitable victory of the 1992 candidate over both the 1968 panic and the 2008 hope candidate comes only from the phenomenon of Superdelegates in which HRC readily destroys all competition.

The popular results are somewhat different. If the polls and trends are about right, and we’re talking about a year in which technology has exceeded what polling can measure, it’s going to the convention. Assuming no shenannegans; it’s going to be good. Richardson’s people will go to Clinton. Edwards’s people will go to Obama, and then?

It’s been a long time coming, but I know a change is gonna come.
