The Speech

Wednesday, 19 March, 2008

Don’t have subscription TV. Was out shopping anyway, and only that because I didn’t know what else to do … and I was pretty much out of food.

This was the end. Without regard to the content of context of the speech this was the post-Dean-scream moment. Everyone has instructions to pile on. This is one of those moments in which “the MSM” delights in obstinateness, and they make a non-virtual change in the world.

I don’t know what the official narrative is, but I cannot find the commentary I anticipated. The closest thing is the typical “politically aware” boomers decrying in comments how he is not taking the bait and not reacting within the rules to which they are accustomed.

Without regard to what happens from here on out, Sen. Obama proved something yesterday. He is the only person, of these three, emotionally qualified to be President of the United States.
